Grave III.M.30. Recommended for the DSO and awarded the Military Cross for his bravery and leadership at Waterlot Farm and in Delville Wood. Wounded on the 18th October 1916 in front the Butte de Warlencourt. Killed in action on the 3rd April 1917. The face of the statue of the South African Scottish Memorial in Johannesburg was modelled on Captain Ross pictures. |
